Finishing Touches 1: Brush Lettering Layouts

Feeling inspired from my Christmas read ‘Apartment Therapy’ I decided that it was time to finally finish sprucing up my bedroom. Armed with some thrifty tips on how to fix up a rental I decided that a splash of colour to the walls was required.

Where to start – Art. Being such a sucker for a good quote, I started by looking for calligraphy prints on Esty. After searching for a short while and finding nothing that caught my eye, I took to Instagram. This is where I discovered local brush lettering brand BrushMusings – once clicking on their feed I was instantly taken in by the delicate hand-written lettering and simple splash of colour (perfect for my crisp white wall)!

The great thing about BrushMusings is that you are able to discuss the quote and colour that you are looking for with Eeli (the owner and artist behind the beautiful pieces). This enabled me to customise my quote to pink – matching my BooTickety blanket and Laura Ashley bedding perfectly.

The print was ready within a few short days and I agreed to collect it Spitafields Market (BrushMusings are at the market every Friday). Once at the market I also discovered that BrushMusings offer private brush letterings classes – safe to say my wall will no longer be looking so bare!
