Brunch in London; a worthy weekend activity that combines a de-brief of the night before with a delicious feel good meal. Whilst there are some tried and tested locations, it’s always nice to branch out and experiment to find a new favourite.
Our latest venture was to a spot recommended on Time Outs top 100 London restaurants list – Llewelyns. Conviniently located on the doorstep of Herne Hill station, minutes walk from Brockwell Park, it was easy to see why this local restaurant was a popular all rounder with those from near and far.
To enjoy the sunshine of the bright Sunday morning and the hustle and bustle of the famed Herne Hill market, we arrived early and chose a table outside.
The breakfast menu was simple, and we decided to share a bowl of chunky granola with fig and yogurt, followed by the beans and Spanish ham on sourdough. The coffee was locally roasted and topped off a delicious and filling start to our day.
After a meander through the market stalls, we made the most of the autumn sunshine and walked around Brockwell park. This topped off a truly delightful Sunday morning.
As far as recommendations go, you know they’re likely to be on point coming from Time Out, and with Llewelyns we weren’t disappointed.
